When music is your yin and racing is your yang, it’s no surprise that London born Farah Nanji, has had some of the world’s wisest stages spinning into transcendent circles for the last decade. One of the few musicians in the world to deliver a TEDx talk which took place at the Philharmonie in Luxembourg in 2019 (youtu.be/O0T1MKh2JiM), and recently described by DJ MAG as a 'fast rising, mega talented star' (www.djmag.com/news/ninja-tune-essentials) Farah has been obsessed with the ancient art of the warrior since she was a child and her shinobi approach is reflected in everything she does. Farah discovered the Spanish guitar at the age of 7, growing up in the 90s, music and technology quickly became her escapism and she has spent almost her whole life honing her craft. She paints her creative canvas through an extraordinary exploration of live sounds and instruments from the electric guitar to the sitar, inspired heavily by her ethnic roots, which stem back to the Indian and African subcontinents. These hypnotic sounds are then looped into pulses of deep tech and techno waves, creating an emotive experience for the listener. Journalism is also a passion that Farah has been exploring for the last few years, starting with her training as a roaming reporter for The Ibiza Paper in 2013. Since then the trust that she has built with her audience has enabled her to play with and interview some of the most prolific artists in the scene such as Nicole Moudaber, Subb-An, Pete Tong, Fur Coat, Blond:ish, My Favourite Robot, Third Son, Roger Sanchez, Deadmau5, Karmon, HVOB, Stimming & more. Simultaneously, Farah has spent a lot of the last 3 years being trained in music production by certified logic trainer and resident DJ of DC-10, Francesco Mami. Stay tuned for her first E.P. coming out soon!
